Warriors hitting 17th spot of Weekly Power Ranking

It is the highest since the beginning of the season when they got 7 wins in 9 games (the highest was 15). Recently, despite the unproductive bench, the warriors have been playing really nice basketball......if you take out the two games against Suns......

They beat Utah, Chicago, Oklahoma City, and Denver. It sounds really impressive right? No. All those teams, except OKC, have some starters, and I'm talking about good starters here, DNP because of injuries.

Take a look of Utah. This is before Sloan resigned. Warriors are playing them who are without Okur and D-Will. They won, but they didn't win pretty. If D-Will is on the court, even just 30 mins, I don't think the Warriors can contain them.

If we are talking about Chicago, we can see all the actions from Derrick Rose. However, we cannot ignore the fact that Joakim Noah is not playing. He's the player who can get 20-10 all day. Along with some good defense and internal pressure. When he's missing, the inside of Chicago gets so much weaker with only Carlos Boozer, who's not exactly a center type.

The Denver game was weird. Without Chauncy Billups, the ball handler was Ty Lawson, who grew into a very nice backup PG who can score and pass. Although he's short, he has the ability to maneuver around players to get to where he wants to be. The last play was surprising. First Denver did not call a timeout, and second the ball did not get to Carmelo. What's weird is that it happened so fast that no one actually knew what happened until afterwards. It was a 2-pt game and it was over in an unexpected way. Whatever the reason for that no-timeout last play, the warriors won. Again, Billups wasn't there.

The most valuable win was against OKC. The Warriors were not shooting well. In fact, it was a horrible game, shooting-wise. However, for some odd reason the Warriors had like 40 more shots than the Thunders, who had around 60 shots. What's weird about this is that the Warriors are usually not a team who get many rebounds, despite the offensive rebound. Yet they got about 20 O-rebounds that day. It was really impressive, and I hope they can continue doing that in the future. David Lee, my new hero, was playing extremely well. Keith Smart should use him more. Even though his jump shots are a sharp weapon, his strong part is still his inside play. Get him involved more instead of simply asking him to get rebounds.

Well, after all, the Warriors are about 45% right now. I just hope they can get to .500 before season ends. Playoff? Memphis won 7 in a roll and they are still not in the top 8. The west is just too crazy.....
